How Does a Partnership Model Contribute to the Success of the Family Impact Seminars?

In the give-and-take that is the hallmark of any good partnership, university organizers of the seminars benefit from the contributions of their partners and, at the same time, provide valuable contributions to the partnership. We know from the evaluation that the jobs seminar was useful to policymakers for four main reasons: (1) the ability to bring relevant policy actors to the table, (2) timely topic and content, (3) big ideas broken down into manageable pieces and (4) practical research that establishes facts and destroys myth. We review here how the partnership contributed to each of these aspects of the seminar’s success.
